Participants are responsible for obtaining a visa and preparing the necessary documents in advance, if required. We recommend that attendees apply for their visas at least 2 months before their intended travel dates. To apply for a visitor visa to enter Taiwan, foreign nationals must have passports or travel documents valid for more than six months, for purposes such as sightseeing, business, family visits, study or training, medical treatment, or other legitimate activities.

| VISA-EXEMPT ENTRY
- Nationals of the following countries are eligible for the visa exemption program, with a duration of stay of up to 90 days: Albania, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Eswatini*, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Holy See, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan*, Kosovo, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Marshall Islands*, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, North Macedonia*(effective until March 31, 2030), Norway, Palau, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tuvalu*, United Kingdom*, and United States of America*.
- Nationals of the following countries are eligible for the visa exemption program, with a duration of stay of up to 30 days: Belize*, Malaysia, Nauru, Saint Kitts and Nevis*, Saint Lucia*, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Singapore.

| e-VISA
- If you are visiting Taiwan on the purpose of attending the conference, you could apply for the e-VISA which is an alternative paper-based visa issued by R.O.C overseas missions.
- Nationals of the following countries are eligible for an e-VISA when they meet relevant criteria: Armenia*, Bahrain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia*, Dominica, Ecuador, Haiti, Kazakhstan*, Kuwait, Mauritius, Montenegro, Oman, Panama, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey*, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan*.

| Invitation Letter
The GCBME 2026 organizers are pleased to offer official invitation letters to any attendee who requests one. Once the attendee has completed their registration and paid the fees, the official invitation letter will be made available in their personal account on the GCBME 2026 website. This invitation is intended to assist participants in obtaining a visa but does not imply any financial support or guarantee the acceptance of their abstract. Please note that all expenses related to the conference, including taxes and fees, are the responsibility of the participants.
